Trust & Safety
Built to protect the player.
An AI product for kids has to earn trust with mechanisms, not promises. These are the rules HooperCard enforces in code — on every surface, including the AI’s own output.
A coach approves every word
Nothing the AI drafts can reach a player or parent on its own. Every practice plan, update, and recap passes through a coach’s explicit approval — word for word — before a family sees it. This is an enforced gate in the product, not a policy promise.
The language guard is machine-enforced
One banned-vocabulary list runs everywhere in the product — including on the AI’s own output before it can be shown to anyone. No medical or diagnosis language, no "at risk" framing on player surfaces, no rankings, no comparisons between kids. Player surfaces speak only in growth language: developing, emerging, unlocking.
No ratings. No leaderboards. Ever.
HooperCard never scores a child or ranks them against a teammate. Even our internal experiments have a hard rail: safety surfaces are never experimented on. What parents see about games is projected parent-safe — final scores and player comparisons are stripped by design.
Parents hold the consent keys
Under-13 accounts don’t activate until a parent approves them. Video of a child requires two separate approvals — the parent’s likeness consent and the coach’s clip approval — and lives only on private, authenticated surfaces. Withdraw consent at any time and it comes down.
No public player profiles
The only public surface is an optional share card a parent controls: first name and what the player is growing in. No last name, no team, no school, no location, no stats. Share cards are excluded from search engines on purpose.
Your data is yours
Full export and account deletion are available to every account, at any time, for free — and safety features are never behind a payment. If you leave, you leave with everything.
